Recently, a friend of mine, Blake Edwards, assigned me a Face Book Artist. Although I actually wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with it, I found her to be an extraordinary character. A photographer well known for her work in the '30s and '40s, she focused on people who were malformed and somehow nearly sinister within the context of their environment. One of the photographs reminded me of something I'd seen before: a scene in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. Now the story goes that Stephen King's actual experience in the Stanely hotel was that King --while lost from his room and wandering the halls --ran into the ghosts of a little boy and girl. Yes, apparently some of King's inspiration for the novel were true.
Diane Arbus sadly committed suicide by overdosing on barbiturates and cutting her wrists. Was it that she felt the pain of not fitting in like the subjects of her work, or was the build-up of the energy from these tormented people somehow manifest itself within Diane?
Whenever I spend long periods of time and extended concentration on my work in EVP, I often experience, flu like symptoms, dread, anxiety and various degrees of clairaudience. Do we truly as artists suffer for our art? Do we absorb the vibrational energy of our work, our subject matter, and physically become part of the work we create? Pay attention, and notice how your work changes you.
We become the identical twin to the work we labor to. So be true to your art, science and investigations, and remember we are the sum total of all we create.

Notes from the Bunker:
This is my first post to keep a running current of whispers, notes, secrets and musings from the bunkers of my work in experimental music and Electronic Voice Phenomena. Here you can share ideas, keep up to date with my works in progress and obtain objects, albums, CDs and Cassettes and other mediums of my production.
JAALJTH, the new CD by myself and Francisco Lopez has been released on the Gerauschmanufaktur Label. The Work is derived and based on an odd bit of ruins in Utica, Indiana, where three witches placed a curse on the town just before they were put to their doom tied to a raft and sent over the falls of the local river. There have been several other, including a more recent event that transpired on the property. Can anyone find the stories?
